Marcus stands at 6 feet even and is athletic and muscular built. His face is square-shaped and he has a strong jaw-line. Marcus is a strong leader, but he is kind and caring; he can be a strict instructor, but he only does that to make sure his Weyrling's succeed and don’t die in training. He loves children and Dragonets, it makes him very mad when people talk about Wesley because he is a male Gold Rider.
History: Marcus was born an only child of a pair of well-known singers on Earth and he grew up mostly on the road with his parents, but he attended his schooling and stayed with friends when he needed to, to keep up with his schooling.
After excelling in school and being top in his choir class he was given a full ride scholarship to the college of his choice to major in music and singing; he went to the best college he could for singing and excelled in his classes graduating with a 4.0 GPA.
After finishing college he caught a Ship to Pern having learned about the Dragons and such there and he was searched as soon as he stepped off the Ship and he stood for the clutches, he impressed at his 6th standing a handsome Gold-Toned Obsidian.
Like with his other endeavors he studied hard as a Weyrling and excelled at his classes, but not long after he finished he started more lessons to be a Weyrlingmaster for Riders of Dragons of the size of Ellolth, when he was finished that training the discussion of creating Halloween Weyr and Las Vegas Weyr a home for Mutation Riders to be safe and for Riders like Wesley who were considered freaks in other Weyr’s because he rode a Gold Dragon even though he is male.
He applied for the Weyrlingmaster position for Dragons like Ellolth who was large and he was accepted as the second Weyrlingmaster the one who taught the Main Colored Dragons as those like his Ellolth were called; he was pleased hearing that Rinth and Wesley were the Weyrlingmaster pair for the Regular Dragons who were the size of Regular Dragons.
He moved close to help build Christmas Weyr and helped with designing both Weyrling Training Grounds; being that his kind of Dragons would be larger he made the Main Weyrling Training Grounds much larger than the Regular Weyrling Training Grounds.
From the time that Ellolth was old enough to chase female Dragons he refused to chase, he even refused to chase when Darkith rose for her first flight at Halloween Weyr, but soon the Gold known as Rinth rose and Ellolth finally chased after her and he caught the Golden Beauty.
He was surprised when Wesley told him that 9 Weyr’s were leaving Pern after it was discovered that Pern was freezing over because Rukbat was now blocked by the Red Star, but he was happy to go home to Earth again and when the Ships headed for Earth he was right next to Wesley they decided that they would settle in Las Vegas Weyr.
Now along with Wesley Marcus prepares for the new Weyrling's that are expected from the 3 Dragon Clutch that sits on Las Vegas Weyr’s Dragon Hatching Sands, both men looking forward to the Hatching preparing to help the new Weyrling's with tending to their new Lifemate their Dragon.
